Your questions, recordings, audio, and video stay on this device and are never uploaded. The one exception is the optional cloud voice (off by default, Step 2): if you turn it on, question text is sent to OpenAI to be read aloud.

Tap “Re-read” at any time. Local reading now pauses at punctuation, lifts the ends of questions, and eases off at sentence endings so it sounds less flat; pick a voice below for a softer sound, or try the optional cloud voice further down

Voice

Voices labelled “Natural”, “Neural” or “Premium” sound the most human. Edge and Chrome include the softest ones; the device default can sound robotic.

Browser voices can only go so far. For a genuinely softer, more human read-aloud, MockRoom can use OpenAI's neural speech instead — generated fresh for each question, with natural pauses and intonation. It is off by default and completely optional; the local browser voice above keeps working either way.
